Type 17 Hex with Sealing Washer - Coarse Thread
Type 17 screws feature a sharp milled point allow for a self drilling action in timber soft plastics and light gauge steel surfaces into timber substrates. Hex washer heads allow for greater and secure clamping force and can be paired with a neo sealing washer in roofing applications. Screws are available in standard gauge sizes and various lengths. Longer screws may feature a smooth shank run out directly under the head as full thread is not required for longer spanning joints.
A coarse thread hex head screw with EPDM sealing washer designed for a range of general fastening applications such as fixing timber or thin steel to timber substrates, whilst eliminating the need for pre-drilling (some hardwood substrate may require pre-drilling). The Type 17 point is a sharp, fluted point offering great timber penetration and drive when accompanied by a coarse biting thread, ultimately allowing for a quicker and cleaner install. This screw is available in zinc yellow or class 4 galvanised variants, making it ideal for internal and external applications.
